David's New Room...again

This is the awesome table lamp I found while in Denver. Isn't it great?!?

Got David's curtains finished today. The sewing on them isn't that great, (I've never claimed to be a seamstress!) but they work and the road map fabric really fits his new theme. I just love the way his room turned out, I think I like it more than he does!!! All I have left are to find a ceiling lamp cover and one for the reading lamp on his wall. There is a ceiling one I'm watching on ebay...wish me luck! =)

My sons portrait of me.

My son drew this picture of me when he was 3. He's already a "boob-man"! My friends all love this sketch and 1 suggested I add it to my blog. Here ya go!

A few photos to share...

I'm baaaaack!

My wonderful brother-in-law saved all our photos that had once been on this computer. Never again will we go so long without backing up our photos.
Anyway, I will now try and add a few of David's new room. I'm still working on the Russian blinds and hanging the HUGE maps a different way...I guess I didn't get a shot of the West wall and door. His dresser is over there, it's just a smallish, wooden one and I plan to decopaghe (sp?) it with an old atlas, (thanks for the idea Jode!). It's still a work in progress, as are all of my projects, but I'll get it done quick, now that school is starting next week.

Haaaalllloooooo

Sorry it's been so long. I've probably lost so many readers, (like there WERE 'so many' to loose!). Anyway, to those who remain faithful...
We've been having a lot of computer trouble. We got a newer one last November. It went crazy...not too sure what happened. My brother-in-law, (who is a computer GENIUS!) has repaired and re-installed our stuff and it is on it's way back to our house. I have many posts to make. Tiger's room turned out great. Still working on the curtains, I'm not much of a seamstress. Also, my kids with both be in school this year. Tiger will start Kindergarten and Lexi in 1st. It will be really, really wierd having an empty house. Even when Tiger was in pre-school, I just stayed in town and waited for him before coming home. In fact, I can recall 2 times I have been alone in this house since having kids. It'll be nice having a clean house for 3, whole hours!!! Get some reading done, a scrapbook or two, I get to SIT DOWN! Woo-hoo! I do think it will be tough bringing David to school though. Sending the youngest, my baby, ugh.
So, anyway I will be back posting some pictures and posts on a more regular basis again soon.
Hope your summer has been grand!
