Booty Hunter

My son is a treasure man. He LOVES finding anything laying on the ground. And I DO mean anything. (We've actually been trying to find him a little treasure chest on-line to get him for his birthday.) Sunday we went for a drive and had to stop for fuel first. On our way in to the gas station, David found a string tag on the pavement, grabbing it before I could tell him not to touch it. He still has it, tucked ever so tenderly, under his pillow where the rest of his "treasures" lie. So, last night Daddy was helping him clean up his room and was amazed by the amount of crap in his room~David's treasures. Torn ticket stubs, rocks, little pieces of string and twine, a loose button or two...then Aaron came upon a broken piece of plastic, black on one side and painted silver on the other. He said to David, "Son, this is a broken piece of garbage, we'd better throw it away." David, frantic, grabbed it from Aaron's hands telling him, "No Dad! It's shiny!". It reminded him of the little, yellow fish on Finding Nemo that was in the tank, waiting for the bubbles to come out of the treasure chest. It really is true, that old saying...

One man's trash, is another man's treasure.

Bird Brains!

We made these bird feeders today after Lexi got home from school. (David decided that he didn't want his face to be in the photo,goof ball.) We just put a thin layer of peanut butter on a big pine cone and then rolled it in bird seed. Definately an outside project if anyone plans to make one! We had fun and even made one for Munga for her birthday. shhhh!

We are dying for spring to come. The forcast for this weekend? SNOW...and lots of it! Aargh!

Lexi is 9 Inches Shorter!

In hair that is! My little girl doesn't look so much like a little girl anymore. She's been trying to talk Daddy into letting her get her hair cut short for nearly a year now and yesterday he finally agreed it was time to let her. She was thrilled with the cut my friend Ashleigh gave her. She did a really nice job on it. My (almost) 6 year old has "The Rachel"! Hee, hee...

SK8R Boy

David joined the Butte SK8 Club yesterday. They are a group of skate boarders that are trying to build a skate park in Butte. Most of you alredy know that my little man loves to skate! He was pretty excited to go to the fundraiser yesterday and was a hit, being as young as he is. There were people taking his picture and telling him he was a "cool dude", which he ate up! I took a couple of photos while we were there. 1 is him "driving" the United Blood Services trailer, (there was a blood drive at the same place) and then 1 with the gentleman that was cooking the kids' burgers. I was glad that I got to take him, he was in 7th heaven!
P.S. The club has enough funds to build the center, (main) part of the park and will break ground in 6 weeks!
