Time for a face lift.

I was getting tired of my Blog's look, so I decided to give it a little face lift. I really enjoy spring and gardening, so I thought this was a good pick. I don't know how to do my own, so what's on the Blogger list is what I have to go with. I saw a cute daisy themed one once, that would suit me perfectly. Anyway, I also updated my profile a bit.

Yesterday was a bit of a stressful day. Our neighbor's dog jumped out fence and killed one of my kids' bunnies, Lindsee. ='( Chloe was MIA and we figured Gunner had carried her off with him. Last night as I was on my way home from the Y, I called Aaron to see if they had found her, no luck. I prayed that whole way home we would find her safe and well. When I got home, about 15 minutes later I was met at the back gate by Aaron telling me he was on his way down to the neighbor's a few doors down to get Chloe...they had found her in their yard. Thank You God. She had to go past 3, mean dogs that are allowed to raom houses to get to that one. I don't know how she made it, but I praise God she did and that she is now home and safe. Our neighbor will certainly hear about what their dog did. It infuriates me when dogs are allowed to roam and I have decided I will call Animal Control if they don't do something to contain him.

I hope that you all have a wonderful day!

Drug Free School Zone?

My daughter is in Kindergarten, she's 5 1/2. This morning as we were trying to get out the door to school I told her she needed to hurry up or she'd be late. She was quite worried about being late and said, "Mom I have to hurry, I can't be late, they are giving us free drugs at school today!". I was a bit taken back then I remembered...

...it's Proud to be Drug Free week at school. =D

My laugh for today.

I'm STILL laughing!!! I had to come sit down and write this one before I forgot it. I was just in doing the dishes and David came in to hand me his dish of left-over kiwi. David LOVES kiwi, so I always peel him 2, rarely are there any left-over. So, I told him to put them in the fridge for later. He made a very funny face at me and in a very sorrowful tone said to me, "Mom, I can't save these ones, they scared my tongue." I couldn't get out of him if they were sour or what, mainly because I was laughing too hard. It just hit my funny bone and I had to share.
Have a wonderful day...don't forget to laugh!

Took Tiger to the Doctor...

He's got Strep Throat. Yuck. I had planned on going in to work out this morning, for the first time in weeks. Uhhh, no. His neck was so swollen he couldn't put his head back without it really hurting him. The weird rash? A Strep Rash, never heard of that one. So we're home for a couple of days, until he's not contageous anymore. Right now he's in with Daddy, fast asleep.

Hopefully back to normal...

Well, I had my second surgery on Friday evening about 8:30. Had to wait for four hours, in a hospital gown, peeing every 10 minutes because of all the fluids going into my IV, hadn't eaten in 12 hours, to go into surgery. Ugh. It went well though. I have to keep the stent in another 2 weeks so all the broken up stones can pass easily. So far I haven't had much pain. It woke me from a 2 Tylenol PM induced sleep last night, but was a little more bearable that the first time it woke me from slumber 2 weeks ago. I'm doing pretty well and hope to get back into life now. My little guy is sick, has been since last Wednesday. He's got this weird rash, a fever (again), very swollen glands in his neck and a gross looking throat. May have to take him in to see the Dr. today. Keeping him home from pre-school. He noticed all my "pee-garb" in the bathroom this morning, (I get to strain my urine to see if any stones are large anough to analize. Nice.) David reminded me I need to, "get the rocks out." If it were only that easy...
He's too funny.

Stone Soup?

I have kidney stones. It has been a very rough, stressful couple of months for me...I have given myself kidney stones. Yea. It is painful, excruciating actually. Never-the-less, my kids make me able to laugh about it.
After I came home, David had overheard that I had kidney STONES. He came over to me, patted my tummy and said, "Mommy, you're not 'a pos to eat rocks, don't eat anymore rocks, okay mommy?". I giggled to myself and said, "Okay son, thank you." My daughter asked why I had to have surgery in the hospital. I told her they needed to put a piece of plastic in my tummy to help the rocks come out when I go potty. She wanted to know what the plastic was like, so my mom explained to her that it was like a long straw. So now, when we see people, even ones we DON'T know, she'll tell them, "My mom had surgery, now she has a straw in her tummy!".
Thank You God for my children, they give me the strength to look at life in such an amusing way.
